چکیده
In this work, the generalization of reachability and observability Gramian matrices of control generalized systems have been studied. The properties of these matrices to be solutions of Lyapunov equations have been analyzed. In addition, an algorithm to obtain balanced generalized systems is given. 2002 Elsevier Inc. Model Reduction of Switched Systems Based on Switching Generalized Gramians
In this paper, a general method for model order reduction of discrete-time switched linear systems is presented. The proposed technique uses switching generalized gramians. It is shown that several classical reduction methods can be developed into the generalized gramian framework for the model reduction of linear systems and for the reduction of switched systems. Discrete-time balanced reducti...
متن کاملGramian-Based Model Reduction for Descriptor Systems
Model reduction is of fundamental importance in many control applications. We consider model reduction methods for linear time-invariant continuous-time descriptor systems. These methods are based on the balanced truncation technique and closely related to the controllability and observability Gramians and Hankel singular values of descriptor systems. The Gramians can be computed by solving gen...
متن کاملA Unified Software Framework for Empirical Gramians
A common approach in model reduction is balanced truncation, which is based on Gramian matrices classifying certain attributes of states or parameters of a given dynamic system. Initially restricted to linear systems, the empirical Gramians not only extended this concept to nonlinear systems but also provided a uniform computational method. This work introduces a unified software framework supp...
متن کاملBalancing singular discrete-time systems
In this work, we deal with normalizable-balanced singular systems, that is, singular systems where the obtained closed-loop system is balanced by an appropriate feedback. In the invariant case, we use a proportional and derivative feedback to obtain systems without infinite poles. In addition, the existence and construction of state-feedbacks to obtain normalizable-balanced N-periodic singular ...
متن کاملemgr - The Empirical Gramian Framework
Gramian matrices are a well-known encoding for properties of input-output systems such as controllability, observability or minimality. These so called system Gramian matrices were developed in linear system theory for applications such as model order reduction of control systems. Empirical Gramian matrices are an extension to the system Gramians for parametric and nonlinear systems as well as ...
